We are down at the Sunset Strip today in Hollywood California. We are going to be some clubs today, a lot of places that I have played. A lot of history down here, the Doors started down here, Van Halen, tons of bands. It’s endless.

We are walking towards the Key Club up here. Once a week at the Key club, there is a band called Metal School, they are a 80s tribute band. My band opened for Metal School fairly recently and the audience was a , they were awesome.

A lot of different looking people out there looking at them, from my point of view as a drummer, I could totally look out there and see people and it was , man. It was like looking at a Poison video or something. It was .

(The Key Club) It started out as Gazzari's. It was like the place in the 80s, it was the , Poison, Cinderella, Faster Pussycat, I mean you name it, any of the hair bands, for sure man, came from here. This is the spot where they partied at.

You could see a band here, and then six months from then, the band is blowing up. So, anything can happen. The Cat club is by Slim Jim Phantom drummer of the Stray Cats awesome drummer. Stood up when he played drums was just completely cool.

They have a night on Thursday nights, every Thursday night called the Stars Fuckers…and they have a lot of people come here and do jams. Slash comes here a lot. The doors here at the Cat Club made of Marshall Cabinets, which are the front of guitar cabinets. During the time I come by here visit , it’s ! It’s a great place! Definitely . Cat Club rules!

This is the Whiskey; this is the most famous club on the Strip. The Doors was the house band here, they got discovered in Hollywood; they discovered from this club.

I had a band a while back, we played at the Whiskey and at the end of our show, we actually had a song called cat party, and at the end of the song we would invite the whole crowd to our two-bedroom apartment in Van Nuys, and it was awesome, we'd all go there and party all night long. The landlords would get pretty mad at us and we almost got quite a few times. The owner of the Viper Room was Johnny Depp for a long time. River Phoenix unfortunately passed away here.

The Viper Room is for a lot of really good things. So, I'm behind my drums and we are playing the show and the Viper Room is so small that I can see my friends in the audience, or fans and record executives right there. They’re 20 feet from me. They scared the hell out of us, but we rocked anyway. So, as a fan, This is a great place to be and a great place to see bands because it is always exciting. This is where you play. It’s Hollywood, this is it, man. It doesn’t get cooler than that.
