Lombardi's grandson and his childhood friend John Brescio. Stay tuned to find out why Lombardi's is considered one of the best pizza places in the area.

SONG

LOMBARDI’S has evolved since in a special way because back when Gennaro first opened Lombardi's he catered to all the Italian people this whole neighborhood was Italian and they worked in Soho where all the factories were, so he all Italian immigrants really. Today we cater to the neighborhood and then to the public and when I say the public people come from all over the world to Lombardi's; just the way they come to New York to go to the Empire State Building Statue of
Liberty they come to Lombardi’s because they got to taste America's first pizzaria.
Some of the most popular items on our pizza
well let me say that the most popular of mine is
because we roasted peppers fresh everyday the coal oven and we use four different types of fresh mushrooms so that's my favorite but the public loves the pepperoni and then there's meatballs which our grandmother's recipe and those are the two favorites that the public ask for.

"we heard about Lombardi’s it was first on our list. It is our first day!
and so we're excited and I'm walking about 20 miles to get here so I'm really hoping it's as good as they say it is"

this is why the pies come with that they have.
that's 2200 degrees and where the coals are. The oven cooks between 8-900 degrees
so that's why we have enough strength in this oven to actually make a
locomotive go up the hill , so that's why the pies come the way they come.
light and airy on the inside, the crust beautiful on the outside. here’s a pie already ready
to go into the oven. the pie’ll be done
normal oven is seven to ten minutes and not about the time it dries out over
here the toppings are fresh juicy and the crust inside is beautiful.
" ok fellas, I've been bragging about you guys all morning so let's make
ourselves look good today."
This is where everything takes place is where the pies are made and Chanter is one
of my better pie men and he's opening up the dough now to make the pizza now
he's applying the sauce. The sauce we make fresh every day we use which is a sweet tomato. He is putting sauce and fresh sauces on
this pie. All our toppings are all fresh made special for Lombardi's
this is sausage and ; now he's gonna right from
there goes right into the oven ...
Lombardi's was everything we expected from a popular neighborhood eatery. It's a
perfect place for a great lunch with friends or dinner with family. John
Brescio showed us why Lombardi's is still one of America's best pizza
places make sure to check out our website so far.
