How would you describe Harlem for someone?
it's better than what I saw in ________ you don't really hear nothing about it on a news like violence and stuff

I would describe it as being a very eclectic mixture of Harlemites who've been here for generations and generations. During the Harlem Renaissance a lot of __________ artists moved in, and then also we have a large _________immigrant community and you have people from Japan there's actually a large Japanese immigration community and...

How did you learn ___________ about Harlem?
-Well, because this is my neighborhood I live here so I
wanted to know everything about my neighborhood

What ________you to the neighborhood?

- My wife works in Midtown and I ______up in New Haven

What's one thing you would change about Harlem if you could change one thing?

Has Sylvia's changed at all or has that place just always been ....?

Sylvia's sold her _______a long time ago, and when she sold the recipe that gave them the rights to change some of the ingredients.

What are some of the positive changes you've seen?

You have to walk down the street; people aren’t _____ as much as they
were back in the days. I mean, the times are changing you're seeing kind of like it being ________ from what it once was, you know, but still keeping its culture.

Pathmark - but I never heard of Pathmart before I came up here.
Pathmark the path mark, but don't really like Pathmark they're supposedly, as I understand, they’re building a Whole Foods.

they've been talking about a Whole Foods_________ so I don't know if that's ever gonna come . Clinton's moved out I know I don't see them anymore.

What do you think it'll be like in five years from now?
what do you think the change will be like?

oh you mean like that? as far as the buildings are concerned...yeah yeah I think it's gonna come up!
